Serie A outfits Sassuolo are holding out for a sizeable Premier League offer for Tarik Muharemović this summer.
According to a report by Corriere dello Sport, the Neroverdi are hoping for at least a €40million transfer offer for Muharemović as they are using the interest from Inter and Juventus to gain leverage in the market.
The Bianconeri hold a buyback clause of €20million, and that gives me a competitive edge over their league counterparts in the transfer race. However, they will also receive a 50% sell-on fee should Sassuolo decide to cash in the player to any other side.
Juventus will look forward to the second option as they require the funds, and Sassuolo are aiming to get a significant value for the Bosnian international’s sale, which can be achieved from an offer from England.
Muharemović has been in talks with the Nerazzurri for quite some time now, but they are unlikely to reach Sassuolo’s asking price, as they might include a player in the deal. It remains to be seen what turns out of this transfer saga.
