Manchester United are reportedly prepared to spend around £150 million to sign three new midfielders in the upcoming transfer window.

United are focusing on rebuilding their midfield this summer after spending most of their budget to upgrade the attack.

Casemiro has already confirmed he will leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Manuel Ugarte could also be allowed to move on if United can get a reasonable fee for him.

According to the Daily Mail, the Manchester titans have earmarked around £80m for a marquee signing to replace Casemiro.

Elliot Anderson is their primary target, but a deal for the Nottingham Forest star is likely to cost a fee above £100m.

United also face competition from Manchester City, who are believed to be in pole position for the 23-year-old.

The Red Devils have also been linked with Carlos Baleba, Adam Wharton, Sandro Tonali and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Baleba could be signed for a knockdown price after his struggles in 2025-26.

A move for Wharton is expected to cost a hefty sum, with Liverpool also keen on the midfielder.

United’s interest in Tonali has cooled slightly and Tchouameni wants to extend his stay at Real Madrid.

Michael Carrick’s side are in the market for a new central defender, while a left-back is also a priority.

Ideally, they would like to add a winger too, with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford expected to be sold.
