Barcelona are rapidly approaching the finish line in the La Liga title race, with their latest run of results placing them firmly in control.
Beyond the title itself, though, there is another interesting story developing, one centred around manager Hansi Flick and his pursuit of personal milestones.
Barcelona’s recent victory over Getafe extended their winning streak in the league to nine matches, matching the best run Flick has already achieved during his time at the club.

Notably, this is not the first time Barcelona have put together such a sequence under Flick.
Earlier in the season, they managed a similar stretch between matchdays 11 and 19 before it was halted by Real Sociedad.
Interestingly, a comparable run was also seen last season. Now, however, they stand on the brink of surpassing that benchmark.

A victory would take Barcelona to 10 consecutive league wins under Flick, setting a new personal record for the German coach during his tenure in Spain.

Looking further ahead, if Barcelona manage to win all of their remaining fixtures, they could surpass Flick’s best-ever winning sequence as a manager.
During his time at Bayern Munich, he oversaw a remarkable 13-game winning run in the Bundesliga, a season that ultimately culminated in a historic sextuple.
Furthermore, there is also a significant milestone within reach, as Barcelona currently sit on 85 points, and a flawless finish would see them reach the 100-point mark.
To put it in perspective, only two teams in La Liga history have reached that figure – Barcelona themselves and a record-breaking Real Madrid side.
