Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic is adamant his side ‘deserved’ a breathtaking Coppa Italia win over Como last night.
Speaking to Inter TV via FCInterNews, the Croatian star praised his team’s fighting spirit after yet another stunning comeback.
Despite trailing Cesc Fabregas’ side by two goals to nil, Inter sneaked into their first Coppa Italia final since 2023.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri scored three unanswered goals beyond the 65th minute to turn the tie on its head.
Hakan Calhanoglu soaked up the limelight as Inter’s hero, bagging a decisive second-half brace to spark the comeback.
Meanwhile, Petar Sucic scored a late winner off the bench, pouncing on the Turkish playmaker’s cutback to land the knockout blow.
“I think we deserved it, even though we scored at the end,” he Sucic said after the game. “It’s not easy to go 2-0 down and come back to win 3-2.
“However, this is an Inter Milan side that is winning everything and sitting at the top, so it deserves a lot of credit.
“I don’t like talking about individuals, including myself, but about the team. We are doing well as a team and I’m happy about that.”
Asked what Inter have on their minds heading into the final, Sucic replied: “To win. If you reach a final, you go there to win – that’s my answer.”

Speaking to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, Sucic reiterated Inter’s ambition to win both trophies.
“I’m very happy, it’s beautiful,” he stated. “In the end, I think we deserved it – we were 2-0 down and managed to win.
“It’s never easy, but we’ve also done it in the league. We showed our mentality, and we’re happy.
“I came here wanting to win, it would be wonderful. I hope we can continue like this by winning the league and the Coppa Italia.”
