Cristian Vieri believes that Inter are on course to win their 21st Scudetto in 2025-26, regardless of the result of the upcoming Derby della Madonnina between his two former sides: The Nerazzurri and their city rivals, Milan: “I think we’re there, aren’t we?”
Inter sit 10 points clear at the top of the Serie A table after 27 matches of the 2025-26 season ahead of Sunday’s match against second-placed Milan. Should Cristian Chivu’s side win this one, they will move 13 points clear with 10 league games of the season left to go.
The last time that Inter beat Milan in a derby came two years ago in a 2-1 Serie A victory towards the end of the 2023-24 campaign. The Rossoneri have won four and drawn two in that time, although the Nerazzurri have won a league title and are on course to win their second over the same time span.
