In a recent report, The Sun revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the situation of Manchester City keeper James Trafford ahead of a potential move for him this off-season. It has been stated that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the English goalie to North London in this summer transfer window.
Trafford’s Recent Form In English Football
Trafford has often found himself behind Gianluigi Donnarumma in Pep Guardiola’s pecking order in this campaign. The English talent has conceded ten goals and kept seven clean sheets in 14 matches for Man City this season across various competitions.
The 23-year-old is currently one of the best goalkeepers in English football. Hence, Spurs would do well to lure him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for Tottenham Hotspur to snap him up on the cheap later this year.

Will Trafford Be A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur?
Trafford can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing regularly and with confidence on the field. He is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make some important saves at the back for his team.
Standing at 1.92m, the English talent can use his strong frame to command his penalty area. However, Trafford has to find a way to earn more first-team starts if he wants to improve as a keeper. Still, he has already got some valuable experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham if they can find a way to sign him this summer.
We can expect Trafford to add more quality to Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi’s backline. He is good enough to compete with Guglielmo Vicario for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 23, Trafford has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the North London giants to consider in the upcoming transfer window.
