Torquay United moved up to third place in National League South after a 4-1 win over Bath City at Plainmoor.
The win moves Torquay to within four points of the top two after leaders Dorking Wanderers lost 2-1 to second-placed Worthing to close the gap at the top.
Worthing now lead the table on goal difference with three games left to play.
Reece Evans scored his first Torquay goal as his 11th-minute deflected effort gave the Gulls the lead.
Jordan Alves hit back eight minutes later before Dylan Morgan scored a hat-trick to take his tally to four goals in his last three games.
The midfielder fired in form the corner of the penalty area 11 minutes from half time before putting Torquay 3-1 up three minutes into the second half with a low curling effort.
He took home the match ball after getting his third 11 minutes later when Dan Hayfield's blocked shot fell to his feet and he blasted it into the roof of the net.
"I think that with our attacking players I think they should all be looking at that thinking 'I should have scored more goals this season'," manager Jimmy Ball said of Morgan's hat-trick.
"But I'm pleased for Dylan, I don't know what that puts him on now but it's three more than when it started so he's got to keep doing that, he could be a big player for us."
He added to BBC Radio Devon: "We're not going to look at what anyone else is doing, only Torquay United, and then once that whistle's blown on the last game of the season we'll have a little look up and see where we're at."
