Ruben Dias: “The [captaincy] role [at Man City] goes down to trying to be the best version of yourself. In terms of that, nothing’s changed. Now, so many people have left, so many winners have left, and new people joined with a lot of ambition, dying and desperate to win. That’s what makes the club keep going…
“Everything ends up exciting you, and last season when I signed my new contract, I signed it because I was already excited about staying and looking forward to however many years I’ll stay.
“You’ve got to enjoy every second and every training session, the joy of being here, being available, being in this context where you can win everything, and you’ve got a club to match your ambition. It’s an opportunity few people have and I’m here for it…” [via BBCSport]
