Inter Milan are reportedly preparing to hand Hakan Calhanoglu a contract ultimatum ahead of a ‘make or break’ summer.
According to Il Giornale via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri will only keep the 32-year-old next season if he agrees to sign a new deal.
The Turkish midfielder’s future was one of the major talking points last summer.
Indeed, he was reportedly flirting with a move to Galatasaray, only for Cristian Chivu to persuade him to stay.
Furthermore, the former AC Milan star had enjoyed a stunning start to the season, netting six goals in his first 12 Serie A outings.
However, injuries have recently plagued the skilled playmaker.

Hakan Calhanoglu has not made a single Serie A start since early January due to recurring fitness problems.
Moreover, his uncertain fitness condition has forced the Nerazzurri to ‘freeze’ contract extension talks .
However, Inter will reopen talks with the player’s agent at the end of the season.
Calhanoglu’s current deal expires in 2027, and the runaway Serie A leaders are keen to extend his contract for at least another year.
