Fiscal prudence has been the main mantra for Real Madrid under Florentino Perez in recent years.

The club have spent money wisely while managing to strike sponsorship deals in order to generate more revenue. Recent reports suggest the club are already in advanced talks to pen a new deal with Fly Emirates.

But that is merely the surface of what Real Madrid are trying to achieve, as far as revenue generation from their shirt sponsors are concerned.

Real Madrid’s big financial target

According to Diario AS, Real Madrid’s ultimate goal is to generate €300 million annually from shirt sponsorships alone.

This financial objective rests on the club’s “travel companions”: Emirates, Adidas, and HP. These three brands form the backbone of Madrid’s economic status.

Currently, the Real Madrid shirt is valued at €260 million, comfortably outpacing rivals like Manchester United (€200m), Barcelona (€183m), and Manchester City (€171m).

The roadmap to the €300 million milestone is already in motion. The renewal with Emirates is virtually complete, extending a partnership that began in 2013 through to 2031.

This deal remains the most significant commercial union in La Liga history. Simultaneously, negotiations have opened with Adidas, the club’s partner since 1998.

While rumours suggest the current deal is worth roughly €120 million annually, both parties are already discussing a new framework to extend their bond beyond the next two seasons.

The final piece of the puzzle involves HP. While the technology firm still has one campaign left on its current deal, conversations regarding an extension are already underway.

By securing improved terms across these three major sponsors, the club believes the €300 million starting point is a realistic goal for their upcoming economic balances.
