Lionel Messi has a new 'home'. The Argentine star trained for the first time at the NU Stadium, Inter Miami's new stadium, in front of many fans in the stands. The NU Stadium will host its first official match on Saturday, when the Herons take on Austin FC in the sixth round of MLS.
The NU is part of the spectacular 23-hectare public park, commercial space, hotels and offices, called Freedom Park, which is the present and future of this MLS franchise, the reigning league champion.
DRV PNK Stadium has a capacity of 26,700 spectators, around 5,000 more than the Chase Stadium, the temporary stadium located in Fort Lauderdale where Inter Miami played until now while waiting to have a permanent home.
Messi also learned first-hand about the Leo Messi Stand, the stand that the club has dedicated to him and which will remain forever in this charming NU Stadium.
