🗣️Matt Law : “I’ve argued for years, that teams often become the image of their manager, the way they behave, the way they play. And Chelsea obviously play in very much the Maresca style.
And I think Chelsea probably behave very much in the image generally, of their manager, and that first half [vs Newcastle], like I’m talking about, of whining and moaning and acting like children, sorry, I think some of it comes from the manager, because they see how he’s reacting to stuff on the touch line, and they react the same.
And it’s clearly not being discouraged either. Like it keeps happening. You know, the amount of bookings Chelsea pick up along with their coach… they’ve got to sort it out. It’s just ridiculous. It’s a real failing of Maresca.”
Matt Law: As it was said to me, if you’re having to keep playing right backs in midfield, you clearly need another midfielder. It can’t be a long-term solution.”
