John Stones: “What does Manchester City mean to me? It’s been my home for the past ten years, and it will be my home for the rest of my life.
I came as a kid, I leave as a man. I lived all my dreams out. Lifting all the things I came here to achieve. At the start to my career I never would have thought I’d be in this position. To achieve everything, but to have the love and the bond with everyone. Every dream has been smashed out of the park.
From day one, I felt at home and I felt loved. If you said to me as a little kid you’d play for City, win everything, the fans will sing your name at the stadium and everywhere you go… I don’t think I would’ve believed them. The fans mean everything to me. I hope I’ve made them proud. I hope they can relate to me as a person and a player. With how I’ve played, how I’ve represented the club, and will do for the rest of my life.
