Guardiola’s latest comments on Bernardo Silva’s future
Bernardo Silva’s contract expires at the end of the season, and Juventus are among the clubs interested in securing his signature as a free agent at the end of the season.
Several sources have claimed that the Manchester City captain has already decided to leave at the end of the season, but no official statement has yet been made by either the club or the player.
“I’m so grumpy with Bernardo Silva because one month ago I said, ‘When you take a decision, I have to be the first to be told,'” Guardiola said at a press conference on Friday via Cityxtra.
“And he didn’t say to me anything yet,” continued the Manchester City boss.
“I said, jokingly, ‘Tell me, I deserve’, but he didn’t tell me! So I don’t know what’s going on.”
Bernardo Silva is the Manchester City captain. He has scored three goals and provided five assists in 43 appearances across all competitions this season.
Barcelona and Benfica are also among the clubs monitoring the Portuguese star, who suggested in a recent interview that he’d consider a move to Southern Europe.
