Graham 'not getting out this window' – Pressley

Head coach Steven Pressley says Luke Graham is "not getting out this window" as he confirmed interest in the centre-back that has yet to meet Dundee's valuation of the 21-year-old Scot.

Rather than losing a central defender, Pressley revealed adding another is one of their two priorities, along with a striker, before the January transfer window closes.

A media report last week claimed Queens Park Rangers had made a £1m offer for Graham after Portsmouth also had a £400,000 offer rejected.

"There was certainly contact with several clubs and ourselves, but nobody has reached, as far as I am aware, the valuation the club has put on him," Pressley said.

"I'm not surprised at the interest. He has been performing at a really exceptional level and he's a player that really excites me.

"He's a player I really don't want to lose. I'd love to be able to build a team around him for the future, but unfortunately, like most clubs, we are a club that has to sell at the right price.

"But we should enjoy his performances while he's here. He's not getting out this window."

However, Pressley admitted that: "There's one or two players who are obviously looking at other possible opportunities.

"Apart from a couple of players on the periphery, I don't see us losing any others in this window."

Dundee had been forced "to go into the market" before the end of January.

"We need to bring in a central defender," Pressley added. "We didn't think that would be a priority for us, but with the loss of Billy Koumetio to a longer-term injury and Clark [Robertson] again to a slightly longer-term injury, it has really forced our hands.

"These were players we were really looking towards the summer, but this is a situation that's arisen, so it's not ideal.

"And then we'd probably need an additional striker, so these are the two positions we are looking at bringing in."
