Southend United have signed defender James Golding on loan from Championship side Oxford United for his second spell at Roots Hall.
Golding spent the second half of last season with the Shrimpers, making 15 appearances and scoring three goals.
The 21-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international has already been out on loan this season at League Two play-off chasers Crewe Alexandra.
He made 15 appearances, but returned to his parent club in January after suffering an injury in a 2-1 defeat at Cambridge United on 29 November.
