Manchester United have explored the conditions of a deal this month for Carlos Baleba. Deal not expected to happen in January with Brighton keen to keep him until the summer.
United’s priority is to strengthen their midfield this year – with Baleba just one name on a list of targets that includes Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton and Joao Gomes.
United also looking at younger talents like Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi and Olympiacos’ Christos Mouzakitis.
