Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been speaking to the media before Saturday's FA Cup game against Exeter City at Etihad Stadium (kick-off 15:00 GMT).
Here are the key lines from his news conference:
- Antoine Semenyo will be in the matchday squad for Saturday's FA Cup game but Guardiola does not know yet if he will start.
- He said Semenyo has been on the club's radar "for a few years" and he is thankful the winger chose City as "many clubs wanted him".
- More on Semenyo: "We need to reinforce for the next years and that's why the club made the gesture to take him and [he's] at the perfect age. The best years are to come."
- On opponents Exeter City, who are 14th in League One: "They play really good. I saw their last two games and it wouldn't happen 10 years ago. Huge respect."
- Guardiola said academy defender Max Alleyne has "definitely" shown he can step up to playing in the first team after making his debut against Brighton midweek. Guardiola added: "I didn't speak with him after the game. Before the game I just said be yourself. Just do it and have the courage."
- He said "academy players never disappoint you" because "they know the club so it is easier".
- Oscar Bobb is still injured and not training with the squad yet.
