🎙️ Mikel Arteta on Guimaraes hitting the ground running after a busy international break:
🗣️ “There were a few factors. They arrived to London on Sunday night, so we almost had six days before the game, and because they’ve been travelling and training, the temptation [is] OK, land here on Sunday, get the check-in and give them two or three days off, they can go to Marbella; no Marbella.
“They were in India, they were in Australia, what they needed is recovery, sleep, eat well, have some proper training and have a day off and two days to prepare the game. I think that changed a lot because otherwise they would have been in a very different position.”
