🚨 Manchester United had hoped to sign a THIRD midfielder this summer if their budget allowed, with those plans largely dependent on raising funds through the sale of Manuel Ugarte.
Those plans could now be shelved after Ugarte’s injury if United prioritise signing a left-sided player and a backup goalkeeper.
If they miss out on Mateus Fernandes, Alex Scott is expected to be the leading alternative, with Aurélien Tchouaméni, Sandro Tonali, Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton also on the shortlist.
