Anthony Taylor has announced his retirement from football with immediate effect after officiating in his second World Cup.
The 47-year-old took charge of two matches in the United States, Spain’s last-16 win over Portugal and a group game between Senegal and Iraq, but was not given any games in the final stages due to England’s progression to the semi-finals.
