Transfermarkt understands Beşiktaş will pay €18m up front to Arsenal, which could rise to €20m with a further €2m in add-ons. It represents a significant investment from the Black Eagles, who are set to complete their biggest transfer deal since signing Turkey international Orkun Kökçü after signing him permanently from Benfica for €30m. Trossard was a fans' favourite in North London but his exit paves the way for Mikel Arteta to ramp up his interest in Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, their top summer target, to replace Trossard on the left flank. Villa value Rogers at around €151.7m and offloading Trossard will add some funds to their war chest.

Trossard joined the Gunners from Brighton in January 2023 for €24 million and has since made 174 appearances, contributing to 70 goals. Last season, Trossard scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 50 appearances. With Arsenal, he won the Premier League title for the first time since 2004 and was also in the starting line-up for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, which the French side won on penalties.
