While a number of the biggest footballing nations across the globe have faltered at this year’s World Cup, few garner the same level of interest and criticism in equal measure as Brazil. The Samba nation is synonymous with the tournament and are always considered among the favourites for football’s biggest prize, even if the quality within their squad isn’t quite up to the standards of previous years. This, undoubtedly, was the case at the 2026 World Cup, with Carlo Ancelotti’s team coming undone against Norway. But, fortunately for Brazil, there are plenty of young players coming through who could help guide them back towards the top.

Indeed, many of Brazil’s most promising U21 players' talents are already household names to avid football fans. As we can see in the graphic below, a starting XI of the most valuable among them would amount to a total market value of €316 million. To put that into perspective, the total market value of the Norwegian starting XI that knocked Brazil out of this summer’s tournament stood at just €413m. So who are these highly-rated stars of tomorrow? Let’s take a look.

In true Brazilian fashion, the defensive line probably needs a bit of work or may need to rely on other players for the foreseeable future. The most valuable goalkeeper available to the nation under 21 at this time is Diego Callai, who plays for Sporting’s B team. In front of the shot-stopper is a decent centre-back pairing of Vitor Reis and Jair Cunha, with new Tottenham signing Souza at left-back and Wolves prospect Pedro Lima on the right. Things look far better in midfield, where Brazil will almost certainly look to rely on Corinthians’ dynamic duo, Breno Bidon and André, who have a combined market value of €38m despite their extremely young ages.

Things then pick up considerably in attack, where Brazil already have several exquisite talents that have proven themselves at the highest level. In the No.10 or second striker role is Real Madrid talent Endrick, who did feature at this year’s World Cup for Brazil and will be hoping to use an impressive loan spell at Lyon to project himself back into the first team plans in the Spanish capital. On the right wing will most likely be Chelsea star Estêvão, who failed to make it into Ancelotti’s World Cup squad but is currently the most valuable U21 Brazilian player in the world. On the left wing is Bournemouth star Rayan, who also featured at this summer’s tournament for the senior team, while Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque will almost certainly be looking to nail down the No.9 position in the years to come.

As if that wasn't impressive enough, there are also a number of stand-out talents that perhaps don't make it into the most valuable starting XI of U21 Brazilian stars but will certainly be on the bench or pushing for a starting role in the years to come. That includes Porto winger William Gomes (market value: €25m), Zenit forward Pedro (€20m), Gremio attacking midfielder Gabriel Mec (€16m), Al-Nassr winger Ângelo (€15m) and Shakhtar centre forward Kauã Elias (€15m), among many others.
