Arne Engels is eager to leave Celtic and being watched by Serie A clubs including Milan, according to reports, but has long been on Gian Piero Gasperini’s list.
The Belgium international will turn 23 in September and has just signed up with a new agency, as he feels this is the time to take the next step in his career.

Engels back on Serie A radar
According to Belgian transfer pundit Sacha Tavolieri, he is being targeted by several Italian clubs including Milan.
It is fairly safe to assume one of the others might be Roma, seeing as Engels was one of the names on Gasperini’s list when he was still the coach of Atalanta in 2025.
Now that Roma have qualified for the Champions League, they could make a case for the player.
A midfielder who can also play at right wing-back, Engels made the €13m move to Celtic from Augsburg in 2024.
He made 46 competitive appearances for Celtic this season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
