Legend Fabrizio Ravanelli aimed vicious criticism at Lloyd Kelly. ‘He’s unworthy of Juventus. He never jumps, makes no impact, takes three hours to pick a pass.’
The former striker is now 57, but hit the peak of his career with the Bianconeri from 1992 to 1996, winning the Champions League, UEFA Cup, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana and Scudetto.

Ravanelli moved on through Middlesbrough, Olympique Marseille, Derby, Dundee and Perugia.
Now he is a pundit and did not hold back in his criticism of current Juve defender Kelly after a difficult season.
Ravanelli tears Kelly apart
“Lloyd Kelly is unworthy of Juventus,” said Ravanelli during a Sportium live stream, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
“He is big and tall, but never goes up for a header. I’ve never seen a centre-forward who is 1.9m tall and never jumps!
“On top of that, he makes no impact. When he does have the ball at his feet, he takes three hours to pick a pass. He cannot play for Juve.”
Kelly has been largely regarded as an expensive flop since his massive €21m move from Newcastle United in 2025.
It was initially on loan, but with a mandatory purchase option if certain conditions were met, plus up to a further €6.5m in bonuses.
This season he managed 46 competitive appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists, but defensively was not always reliable.
