🇦🇷🗣️ The AFA President Chiqui Tapia on why the Finalissima will NOT take place:
“1️⃣ From the very first moment, we maintained that the match should be played at a neutral venue to ensure sportsmanship equity.
2️⃣ The initial proposal to hold it in Madrid—which we learned about through the media—did not respect that principle.
3️⃣ Later, the possibility was raised of playing at a neutral venue in Italy on March 27.
4️⃣ Argentina accepted the venue without objection, only requesting that the match be rescheduled to March 31.
5️⃣ UEFA informed that the proposed date was not viable, and with no possibility of reaching a final agreement, the match was ultimately cancelled.”
