As we really reach the business end of the season, trophies with in the top five leagues are getting snapped up left, right and centre. Last night, Paris Saint-Germain clinched their fifth Ligue 1 title in-a-row after a 2-0 win away at Lens, whilst Inter Milan beat Lazio 2-0 in the Coppa Italia final to complete a domestic double. Both of those two sides have very healthy trophy cabinets over the past 26 years, but which top five league teams have won the most trophies this century? Let’s find out.

Which clubs have won most trophies this century?
For the purposes of fairness, the only trophies we have counted are the top five domestic league titles, the main top five league domestic cups (FA Cup, Copa del Rey, Coppa Italia, DFB Pokal & Coupe de France), the Champions League, the Europa League and the Europa Conference League. Leading the way are German giants Bayern Munich, who have racked up an incredible 34 trophies since 2000. In that time, they have won 20 Bundesliga titles, 11 DFB Pokal trophies and three Champions Leagues. In second spot is Paris Saint-Germain who added their 31st trophy this century with last night’s Ligue 1 title. They could also add another if they win the Champions League final at the end of the month.
In third place are Barcelona with 25 trophies this century, including this season’s LaLiga title. They have also won four Champions Leagues in that timeframe. Behind Barca in fourth are their El Clásico rivals, Real Madrid. Los Blancos have won 20 trophies this century, and incredibly, have won the same amount of Champions Leagues (8) as LaLiga titles in that period. Juventus take fifth spot, having won 17 trophies. Chelsea are the highest Premier League team on the list, having won 16 trophies since the turn of the century and now share sixth position with Inter Milan after their Coppa Italia triumph.

Manchester United take eighth with 13 trophies since 2000. Although 10 of those were won under Sir Alex Ferguson before his retirement in 2013. Manchester City are behind in ninth with 12 trophies, but could climb above their rivals this season if they can win the FA Cup and Premier League. Lyon complete the top 10 with 10 trophies, including eight Ligue 1 titles in a row in the 2000s. Arsenal could climb into the top 10 if they can win either the Premier League or Champions League this term.
