The future of FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski is far from certain as he nears the final few months of his contract with the club.
His agent, Pini Zahavi, arrived in the Catalan capital earlier today and is expected to speak with the club regarding the veteran forward’s situation, as well as Hansi Flick’s renewal.
Zahavi spent three days in Italy
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, prior to his arrival in Barcelona, Zahavi spent the last three days in Milan holding talks with several Italian clubs.
The superagent was joined by intermediary Davide Grassi for meetings across the city to evaluate potential landing spots for the veteran Barcelona forward.
AC Milan and Juventus have long been credited with an interest in the Polish international, although finances could be an issue for both Serie A clubs.

Nevertheless, this recent activity suggests a decisive move toward the Italian top-flight is becoming a serious possibility.
Barcelona’s stance
Despite scoring 13 goals in 27 La Liga appearances this season, Lewandowski’s role under Hansi Flick has recently shifted toward that of a rotation player, a transition the player is not entirely happy with.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have reportedly presented a one-year renewal offer to the striker’s camp, but it comes with significant caveats – a substantial 50% salary cut from his current package and a secondary role in the team.
The Blaugrana are already identifying potential successors to lead their attack, with Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez and Chelsea’s Joao Pedro topping the shortlist for the 2026 summer window.
While Lewandowski’s priority has been to remain in Catalonia, where he and his family are settled comfortably, the lure of a new project in Italy, where he could have a more prominent role, could prove tempting. A final decision is expected by the end of May.
