We asked for your views on one player you would be prepared to see leave Newcastle in the summer and a couple of names who would be realistic targets for Eddie Howe's side.

Colin: For me, the thing this year is how do we want to play? What’s the style/the focus? Players like Joelinton are monumental athletes, but are they holding us back from a particular style of play? Defining summer for Howe and co. I feel. For me, personally, I’d love to see some more creativity – and – dare I say it, just some ‘good football’!
Duncan: I think that Tino Livramento and Anthony Gordon will go though, I don’t actively want either of them out. Sandro Tonali seems to want to go home but nobody in Italy can afford him – maybe there’s a swap deal to be done? Gut feel says we won’t get James Trafford but I’d like him – not sure who else in goal. I like William Osula up front and out on the right-wing. I’d prefer to keep him for both roles over Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa, who really haven’t done enough. If we were to play two up front then a Nick Woltemade and Osula pairing would be good, but not Woltemade as a lone nine or as a main forward. We need to know what Eddie’s vision is, but we can’t keep playing at 100 miles per hour every game.
Peter: If Tonali wants to go, sell him and get Elliot Anderson back as a direct replacement. Tino doesn’t look the same player as last season so sell and play Lewis Miley (if fit!) there. Striker is a priority but not sure who is a realistic target. Fikayo Tomori would be a good acquisition to replace Sven Botman as first choice centre-back. If we can’t keep Gordon or we have to sell him then Mateus Mane from Wolves would be a great player to develop as a replacement.
Alex: If Gordon wants to go, get the deal done quick. Let’s not let it linger on like Alexander Isak did. Wouldn’t take Aaron Ramsdale as permanent so would need a first choice goalkeeper. We need a replacement right-back for Kieran Trippier leaving and a back-up left-back. We also need a back-up centre-back as we have Fabian Schar and Dan Burn aging, possibly Schar going and Jamaal Lascelles was never replaced. Then just replace anyone who goes.
