Eintracht Frankfurt will go into Friday’s Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund with Albert Riera in charge, but could the Spaniard’s time at the Eagles be up?
After just one win in their last six Bundesliga games, BILD report that a decision will be made on whether Riera will take charge of Frankfurt’s final game of the season against VfB Stuttgart will be made after their game against Dortmund.
European qualification is still very much on the line for Die Adler, who can still qualify for the UEFA Conference League. However, after their defeat against Hamburg and Freiburg’s draw vs. Wolfsburg, Frankfurt conceded seventh place to Freiburg.
As a result of recent performances, BILD report that after a crisis meeting, it was decided that Riera would remain in charge for the time being with sporting director Markus Krösche lacking the necessary time to appoint a successor before Friday.
After Saturday’s defeat, Krösche twice dodged questions about Riera’s future.
