Chelsea entertained Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Blues made a slow start to the contest and conceded the opener in the second-minute when Taiwo Awoniyi found the back of the net. Igor Jesus doubled his team’s lead from the penalty spot in the 15th minute as the West London club went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Awoniyi put daylight between the two sides in the 52nd minute before Joao Pedro grabbed a consolation goal for Chelsea in injury time. The match finished with the Blues suffering a disappointing 3-1 loss in front of their home fans.

LB: Marc Cucurella – 6/10

He earned the ball back once but offered very little in the final third.

CM: Romeo Lavia – 6/10

Lavia failed to protect his backline and lacked quality on the ball.

CM: Moises Caicedo – 6.5/10

He made a few crucial interceptions inside his half but struggled to influence the game inside the Nottingham half.

Palmer caused some problems for his marker and was guilty of missing his penalty.
