Real Madrid clashed heads with Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result on the road in La Liga. Los Blancos made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.
Vinicius Junior scored the opener in the 55th minute before going on to double his team’s advantage in the 66th minute. The match ended with Alvaro Arbeloa’s men securing a solid 2-0 win away from home.

LB: Ferland Mendy – 6/10
He had to go off injured in the 13th minute.
CM: Thiago Pitarch Pinar – 6.5/10
Pitarch Pinar anchored the midfield well and made one key chance going forward.
CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 7.5/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and was accurate with his passing.

Valverde was full of energy and running at both ends of the field.

Diaz struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and was replaced in the 52nd minute.
