According to an update from SPORT, Barcelona are prepared to make a flexible decision on Roony Bardghji this summer, with the winger’s future now depending largely on his own wishes and the offers that arrive.

It is understood that Bardghji’s debut season at Barcelona has not gone as planned.

The main issue has always been the competition for his position. Sharing the same role as Lamine Yamal has made it difficult for the Swedish youngster to secure regular minutes.

As a result, his involvement has been restricted. He has featured in 25 matches across all competitions, accumulating just 721 minutes.

Starts have been rare, but when given the chance, he has delivered flashes of quality, registering two goals and four assists.

Despite those contributions, his overall role in the squad has remained limited.

What’s the story?

Within the club, there are no concerns about Bardghji’s attitude. In fact, he has stayed committed and continues to work hard in training, fully aware of his position in the current pecking order.

He understands that several players are ahead of him, and rather than pushing for immediate changes, he has chosen to remain patient while waiting for more opportunities and that mindset has been noted positively within the club.

As far as Barcelona are concerned, the situation is under control because Bardghji is under contract until 2029, and his salary does not create any Financial Fair Play concerns.

Nothing is ruled out

As reported by the outlet, though, Barcelona are not ruling anything out.

If the player decides that he wants more regular football elsewhere, the club would be open to facilitating a move.

In that regard, a loan is one option being considered, allowing Bardghji to gain experience and return stronger.

At the same time, a permanent transfer cannot be excluded, but Barcelona would only consider a sale if a strong financial offer arrives.

Given the relatively low cost of his signing and the progress he has shown, a bid in the region of €10 million could be enough to trigger serious discussions.

For now, Barcelona are not forcing any decision, as they are willing to wait and assess how the situation evolves, placing the responsibility largely on the player to decide his next step.
