Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean will miss Norwich City's final Championship game of the season – but there are no concerns about this summer's World Cup.

The 34-year-old has played 51 games during the current campaign – including six for Scotland – and scored in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Swansea City.

"I want to reassure all my Scottish friends that there is totally nothing to worry about," head coach Philippe Clement told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"He just blocked in a movement in a training session and it's too short a time now to de-block it for the game tomorrow. He will not be available but in a few days it will be better.

"These things can happen. It's a pity – anyone who knows Kenny knows he wants to play every minute and train every minute also, so he's totally gutted about it.

"He's been available almost all season and I'm sure he's going to play a top World Cup and be ready for that."

Ninth-placed Norwich end the season away to Hull City and although they cannot reach the play-offs, they could have a say in who does make them, as the Tigers are competing with Wrexham and Derby County for sixth place.

Oscar Schwartau will also miss the trip to East Yorkshire and Ben Chrisene, meanwhile, has now had shoulder surgery and should be fit in time for pre-season.
