Roma will host Vanoli’s Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday, May 4th, in a matchday 35 match of Serie A.
This is a crucial match, especially for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, who are determined to maintain fourth place, currently held by Juventus, three points ahead of the Giallorossi.
The Roman side hopes to participate in next year’s Champions League, but their fate is no longer in their own hands.
The only thing they can do is win their last four league games and hope the Bianconeri drop points along the way. At least four, given that Spalletti’s men have a strong head-to-head record.
For the match against Fiorentina, Gasperini is expected to recover Manu Koné, who trained with the group, but he may not be able to count on Konstantinos Tsimikas.
Tsimikas is having a difficult season. His technical connection with Gasperini has never clicked. As Corriere della Sera reports, the Greek winger had to sit out training due to a slight strain.
The player is therefore doubtful for Roma-Fiorentina on Monday evening (8:45 PM).
Zaragoza is also likely out with a slight knee inflammation. Both will not remain in the capital: Tsimikas will return to Liverpool, while the Spanish striker will return to Bayer Munich.
