Tottenham Hotspur Identify This Arsenal Left-Back As A Target: Should De Zerbi Get Him On Board?

In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Arsenal left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly as a target. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a move to secure the services of the English defender this off-season.

Lewis-Skelly’s Impressive Form In English Football

Lewis-Skelly has served as an important role player for Arsenal this season as he has put in a run of impressive displays for them in the Premier League. The 19-year-old has made 30 appearances for the Gunners in this campaign so far, picking up four assists in the process across all competitions.

The English talent is currently among the most gifted young full-backs in English football. Therefore, it is no surprise that Spurs are trying to snap him up in this upcoming transfer window.

His current contract at the Emirates Stadium will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Robert De Zerbi Get Lewis-Skelly On Board?

Lewis-Skelly loves a tackle and can make the odd interception for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when the opposition are on the offensive and can deliver some inviting crosses from the left flank.

The English talent is a good dribbler with the ball as well and can strike it with venom from long range. Lewis-Skelly is primarily a left-back but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the North London club.

We can expect Lewis-Skelly to add more quality to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s defence. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 19, the future looks quite bright for Lewis-Skelly as long as he continues to improve with each year. Therefore, De Zerbi would be wise to try everything in his power to get him on board later this year. Lewis-Skelly might even help Spurs compete for some major trophies in the future. All in all, he would be an excellent option for Tottenham to pursue in the long run.
