According to a report from L’Équipe, Lyon have learned the extent of Orel Mangala’s (28) latest injury. The Belgian international was forced off in the 34th minute through injury during Lyon’s 3-2 victory against Auxerre in Ligue 1 last weekend.
Les Gones will have been hoping for the best with the former Nottingham Forest midfielder only recently returning from a long-term injury. The 28-year-old was out of action for 308 days and missed 35 matches for both Lyon and Everton after suffering from a cruciate ligament tear.
Mangala set to be out for two weeks
After assessments, it has been confirmed that the former Everton loanee will be absent for around 15 days. This injury rules the midfielder out for Lyon’s upcoming clash against Rennes. However, he could return to action when OL play Toulouse.
