Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram has hit a purple patch in April as he hopes to represent France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 28-year-old has regained top form after an underwhelming start to the new calendar year.
Despite finding the net in Inter’s first two Serie A games of 2026, Marcus Thuram had been up the creek without a paddle earlier this year.
Indeed, the former Borussia Monchengladbach star had gone five consecutive league matches without scoring before breaking his drought earlier this month.
Since scoring against Roma almost a month ago, Thuram has been on the scoresheet in each of Inter’s last three Serie A outings.

Thuram has scored four goals in his last four league appearances. Furthermore, he tallied two assists in that sequence.
As a result, the Frenchman has now amassed 17 goals this season, only one fewer than his personal record in the Nerazzurri colors.
With five games left until the end of the season, there’s a good chance he could eclipse that tally this term.
Meanwhile, Thuram’s return to form has significantly increased his chances of featuring at the upcoming World Cup.
