Manchester City director of football Hugo Viana has meet with the agent of Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, as per a new report.

City have identified Kroupi as a potential summer signing as Viana looks to progress his revamp of the first-team squad to build on the club’s January acquisitions of Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo.

The Blues are in the running for a domestic treble, having lifted the Carabao Cup trophy at Wembley in March, entered the FA Cup final after beating Southampton in the semi-final over the weekend.

Pep Guardiola’s men are also in the running for a seventh Premier League title under Guardiola, who is expected to make a decision on his Manchester City future at the end of May as he approaches the final 12 months of his contract.

Executives at the Etihad Stadium are monitoring the transfer market to build on Viana’s work in reshaping Guardiola’s squad since replacing Txiki Begiristain as director of football in 2025.

As reported by Sacha Tavolieri, Kroupi is a possible transfer target for Manchester City and the Bournemouth attacker’s agent recently met with Viana to discuss a transfer to the Etihad Stadium.

The Cherries remain keen to hold on to the 19-year-old Frenchman but will be open to sanctioning a sale upwards of £80 million.

Manchester City are already frontrunners in the race to sign Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Elliot Anderson, who is understood to have selected the Etihad Stadium as his preferred destination amid interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
