Chelsea will face off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium on Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Blues suffered a tough 1-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in the league.

Liam Rosenior will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first team for this game. Both Joao Pedro and Trevoh Chalobah could play from the start of this clash.

Defence

Robert Sanchez will operate in goal for the Blues after shipping in one goal in his last appearance. Wesley Fofana will play alongside Trevoh Chalobah at the heart of the Chelsea backline as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.

Malo Gusto will look to prove his worth as the right-back, while Marc Cucurella looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Josh Acheampong will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez will anchor the midfield for the London club as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Pedro Neto, Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer will play just ahead of them as part of the Chelsea attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Blues are to earn a convincing win in midweek.

Andrey Santos and Romeo Lavia will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Liam Delap will lead the charge for the West London club up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace on the offensive end of the field.

Marc Guiu will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Blues are in need of a goal by then.
