Barcelona could be forced into a cautious late decision regarding the availability of Marc Bernal as they prepare to host Celta Vigo in their upcoming La Liga fixture.
According to a recent report from SPORT, it has come to light that Bernal’s participation in the upcoming match against Celta Vigo is in doubt.
This is because, despite encouraging signs in his recovery, the situation is not yet fully resolved.
There is a growing sense within the club that patience will be key, as Bernal has not yet trained with the group despite the fact that he has recovered from the sprained ankle.
This detail is particularly important given Barcelona’s position on avoiding any unnecessary risks at this stage of the season.
Important player for Barcelona
Before picking up the injury, Bernal had worked his way back into the starting XI and was delivering consistently strong performances.
The midfielder had regained the starting line-up after remarkable performances, but his return to the squad for this Wednesday’s match at the Spotify Camp Nou against Celta is up in the air.
As such, the final decision on his involvement will come down to how he responds in the final training sessions.

It will depend on his feelings and whether he appears with the rest of his teammates in the two training sessions this week before the match.
Until then, the coaching staff is expected to monitor him closely.
Practising caution
Barcelona’s approach remains clear and disciplined.
From a tactical standpoint, Flick is unlikely to gamble on a player who is not at 100%, particularly with Barcelona in a strong position in the title race.
Internally, there is still hope that Bernal could make the squad if he responds well in the final training sessions.
However, being included in the squad is very different from being match-ready, and that distinction could prove crucial.
Even though Bernal’s importance has grown significantly this season, with the season entering its decisive phase, Barcelona will need every available resource, but only if fully fit.
