Newcastle United welcomed Bournemouth at St. James’ Park earlier today as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 32nd minute when Marcus Tavernier got his name on the scoresheet. Newcastle went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
William Osula equalised for the Magpies in the 68th minute, but Adrien Truffert scored the winning goal for the visitors in the 85th minute. The match ended with Newcastle suffering a tough 2-1 loss in front of their home fans.

LB: Lewis Hall – 6/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles but offered very little in the final third.
CM: Lewis Miley – 7/10
Miley came back to defend when he could, but failed to impress going forward.
CM: Sandro Tonali – 7/10
He earned the ball back once and made one good run with the ball.
CM: Jacob Ramsey – 6/10
Ramsey made two key chances in the final third.
RW: Anthony Elanga – 6.5/10
He made a couple of promising runs with the ball but never looked like he would score.
ST: William Osula – 7/10
Osula managed to shine at times in the final third and managed to equalise in the 68th minute.

He struggled to get into the flow of the game.
RB: Kieran Trippier – 6/10
Trippier struggled to get into the rhythm of the contest.
