Yildiz had been managing a knee inflammation that had hampered him in recent weeks, culminating in an underwhelming performance against Atalanta that saw Luciano Spalletti withdraw him from the action.
The Turkish forward had been working separately from the main group for several days as the club managed his condition carefully, but his return to collective training is an encouraging sign that the worst is behind him, according to the latest reports from Tuttosport.
The timing could not be more significant.
Juventus relief as Yildiz & Thuram could start against Bologna
Juventus face Bologna in a fixture that carries enormous implications for the Champions League race, particularly following Como’s defeat and the direct clash between Roma and Atalanta that will further shuffled the standings.
Three points against the Rossoblù could prove decisive in securing a top-four finish with just a handful of games remaining.
Thuram’s return to group training alongside Yildiz adds further optimism to the mood at the Continassa, with Spalletti now having greater options available as the season reaches its most critical phase.
Neither player’s involvement against Bologna has been officially confirmed, but the fact that both are back training with their teammates puts them firmly in contention.
After a period of careful management, Juventus are hopeful of having two of their most important attacking players available for one of the most important matches of their season.
