AS Monaco are interested in one of Paris Saint-Germain’s brightest prospects, Aymen Assab (17), according to a report from L’Équipe.
Monaco are always attentive to academy products flourishing in youth sides across France, whilst they also have their eyes closely fixed on players coming out of the Ile-de-France region. Assab, a 17-year-old midfielder, is the latest to catch the Principality club’s eye.
An intern contract has been offered to Assab, however, he has yet to respond to that offer, which arrived several weeks ago. Talks with PSG are not over, however, Monaco hope that they can convince Assab to join them this summer.
Assab is not the only player in PSG’s academy attracting interest from Les Monégasques, L’Équipe understands. Whilst the names have not been revealed, there are several other players who are in a similar position to Assab that the Principality club are also tracking with a view to a summer move.
