Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali confirmed that the Neroverdi are in discussions regarding the sale of the sought-after Tarik Muharemovic.

During his recent interview, Carnevali acknowledged ongoing talks with several clubs, including Inter Milan, as reported by FCInterNews.

Widely regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, Tarik Muharemovic is likely to leave the Mapei Stadium this summer.

Indeed, the 23-year-old has emerged as one of Inter’s top targets for the upcoming transfer window.

With Matteo Darmian, Stefan de Vrij, and Francesco Acerbi set to leave San Siro, the Nerazzurri must strengthen their backline.

Meanwhile, Muharemovic has caught Beppe Marotta’s attention after an impressive first season in Serie A.

However, the runaway leaders are not the only side interested in the talented center-back’s services.

Furthermore, Juventus, who sold Muharemovic to Sassuolo last summer, hold a right of first refusal.

Nevertheless, Marotta is keeping close tabs on the Bosnian starlet.

In addition to Muharemovic, Inter are also keen on Udinese star Oumar Solet and Lazio’s Mario Gila.

Moreover, the Spanish defender could be available on favorable terms, given that his contract at the Olimpico runs out next summer.

Still, Muharemovic would be an ideal signing for the Nerazzurri, even though he won’t come cheap.

Indeed, Sassuolo won’t let their prized asset leave for less than €30 million.

Furthermore, luring the Bosnian to San Siro could be easier said than done, with numerous clubs vying for his signature.

“For Muharemovic, we are in talks with several clubs, not just with Marotta,” Carnevali confirmed.

Muharemovic has made 27 league appearances for Fabio Grosso’s side this season.

Despite occasional slip-ups, the youngster has exceeded expectations in his debut campaign in Italy’s top flight.

Therefore, Sassuolo are looking to cash in on their in-demand star in the coming months.
