Cristiano Ronaldo wants his Spanish team to sign Real Madrid midfielder – report

Earlier this year, Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines by acquiring a stake in Spanish outfit Almeria.

Apart from owning a stake in the team, Ronaldo’s role includes helping and assisting the club achieve their goal of returning to the top flight.

As part of his job, Ronaldo appears to have already started influencing decisions within the Almeria ranks and wants the club to sign a Real Madrid midfielder.

Ronaldo sets his sights on Cesar Palacios

According to Fichajes, the Portuguese legend has identified César Palacios as a strategic addition for Almeria next season.

The young attacking midfielder has been a revelation for Real Madrid’s reserve team, Castilla, throughout a brilliant campaign.

Ronaldo believes that Palacios possesses the specific creative spark and goal-scoring threat needed to elevate Almería’s competitive level.

The youngster’s numbers certainly justify the interest. In 32 appearances this season, Palacios has notched 13 goals and three assists.

His ability to make well-timed runs into the box and his tactical maturity have marked him as one of the most promising talents currently developing at La Fabrica.

It was reported recently that Real Madrid are willing to sell Palacios in a permanent deal, but with a buyback option – similar to deals implemented for the likes of Nico Paz and Jacobo Ramon.

A loan to a club like Almeria could offer the rising star the necessary platform to adapt to professional football while remaining under Real Madrid’s long-term control.

Almería, for their part, are currently analysing the feasibility of the move, viewing Palacios as the perfect young and hungry profile to lead their offensive charge.
