Ryan Naderi's muscle injury is "serious", says Rangers head coach Danny Rohl, who is unsure when the German forward may return.

Naderi, 22, was withdrawn at half-time of Saturday's 4-2 win over Dundee United, in which he scored his first league goal for Rangers and third overall.

Asked about Naderi's condition, Rohl said: "Not well.

"It's a serious one. We don't know when he's back. If you have muscle injury then you have to look week by week. We have to re-scan him in two weeks and then we will know more about how long.

"The hope is always there.

"Ryan made a great impact since he arrived, not just the goals. Also a lot of work off the ball, against the ball, a lot of runs for the team."

And the German added: "It's always not nice when you lose players from your squad. This is football, it happens.

"We have to look for a new solution. We have a lot of players that are available, that are ready for this. We have to stick together."

While Rohl revealed other members of his squad had "small issues", central defender Derek Cornelius is back training and Rohl has had positive news regarding left-back Tuur Rommens, who missed the win over United.

"Tuur had one more treatment this week, was very successful," Rohl said of the Belgian.

"This weekend will be too early but it looks great that he is back, maybe the first, if everything goes well, but latest the second game in the split."

After Sunday's visit to Falkirk, Rangers will have a two-week break before they start their post-split programme at home to Motherwell, followed by trips to Hearts and Celtic then a home meeting with Hibernian and a final-day return to Falkirk.

"We have an exciting schedule," Rohl said.

"I'm happy with the group and we have to believe we have the quality, we have the mindset and the mentality to win this title."

Rangers have not beaten Falkirk this season, having drawn twice, and Rohl said of John McGlynn's side, who sealed their top-six place last weekend: "They have nothing to lose now. They can just win.

"It's for some teams nice because there are moments where you can also gamble. You can go more offensive.

"We are ready for this game. We want to win the final game before the split to have a great opportunity then in the split.

"It's a tough one away."
