🚨 Aston Villa’s obligatiion to buy Harvey Elliott from Liverpool can only be activated through Premier League appearances.
The 21-year-old joined on a season-long loan with an obligation to sign for £35M if he hits a set match threshold — but that clause is league-based.
Elliott has featured seven times in all competitions, starting three, but has recently been left out of squads vs. Bournemouth, Brighton and Newcastle.
Villa are out of both domestic cups but remain in the Europa League last 16, where Elliott could feature if he recovers from his hernia issue.
