This rumor goes hand in hand with the possible arrival of Xabi Alonso at Liverpool, a club where he shone as a footballer. Will Arda Güler play for Liverpool next season?
There is no formal offer yet, much less, as the arrival of Xabi Alonso to Liverpool would first have to be confirmed. However, according to information from TEAMTalk, there are four players that Xabi would ask for and among them is the Real Madrid midfielder.
In addition to Arda Güler, the Spanish coach would ask the board for the players: Marc Pubil, Yan Diomande and Anthony Gordon
How would Arda Güler fit in at Liverpool?
Güler is far from being able to replace Mohamed Salah, as he is a player who is starting his career and in a different position. However, he could fit well into the tactical scheme alongside Ekitike, Isaak and Wirtz, considering that the latter two have not been anywhere near the level they showed at their previous clubs, which is why the signing of Gordon and Diomande is being considered to give more depth to the bench and so that Liverpool can regain prominence in the Premier League.
However, Guler's departure seems complicated as he is under contract until 2029 and his high price tag is a difficult obstacle for Liverpool to overcome, having spent significant amounts in recent windows.
Today, Güler is an important player for Real Madrid and one of their main bets for the future, so it seems that only a record sum could make it possible for Xabi Alonso to be able to coach him again now at Anfield.
