Swindon and Crawley hit with FA fines

Swindon Town and Crawley Town have both been fined £7,000 by the FA for failing to control their players after a mass confrontation at the end of their League Two fixture earlier this month.

The FA issued the punishment after scuffles between players and officials from the two clubs broke out at the end of a heated 2-2 draw on 6 March. Neither club contested the charge.

Tempers had frayed after Kellan Gordon scored a late equaliser for Crawley in the 99th minute to level the scores at 2-2.

His late strike came after Billy Bodin looked to have given Swindon all three points with a goal in the second minute of stoppage time.
